Logging Into the Mobile App
Standard login: Open the nCino Mortgage mobile app and enter your email and password credentials.
- Forgot password flow:
- Tap the "Forgot password" button on the login screen
- Enter your email address
- Enter the verification code sent to your email
- You will be successfully logged in without changing your password
Optionally, tap "Reset password" to create a new password
- Note: Deactivated users cannot log into the mobile app.
HOME TAB
Analytics Widgets
- Closings: View loans with closing dates. Tap on any loan to navigate to the loan overview page. Use the search function to find specific loans.
- New Applications: View recently created applications. Tap on any application to navigate to the loan overview page. Use the search function to locate specific applications.
- Abandoned Applications: View applications that have been inactive. Tap the information icon for an explanation of what qualifies as an abandoned loan. Tap on any application to navigate to the loan overview page.
Prospects: View your prospect contacts. Tap on any prospect to navigate to the contacts page.
Tasks Widget
- Tap on any task in the list to view task details.
- Tap "View all" to see a complete list of all tasks.
- Use Task settings to filter tasks by status (incomplete/completed).
- Mark individual tasks complete or use "Mark all complete" for bulk actions.
Filters automatically refresh when changed and apply to both incomplete and completed task lists.
Loans Widget
Tap on any milestone to filter loans by that milestone status.
Tap "View all loans" to see your complete loan list.
- Changing filters will clear milestone-specific filtering.
Activity Log Widget
- View your most recent loan activity.
Tap on any loan to navigate to the loan overview page.
Tap "View all" to see complete activity history filtered to your loans.
Top Partners Widget
Tap on any partner to navigate to their contact page.
Tap "View all partners" to see your complete partner list.
- If you have no partners, tapping the empty state will open the share flow to invite partners.

Notifications
Tap the notification icon (top right corner) to view notifications.
- The notification count displays on both the notification icon and home icon.
Tap any notification to mark it as read and navigate to the related content (if applicable).
Click on the 3 dot menu on the top right of the app. Then tap "Mark all as read" to clear all notifications at once.
"You Are Viewing" Widget
If you have access to view other loan officers' dashboards, use this widget to switch between profiles.
- Search by name or email address.
Switching profiles updates the dashboard to show that loan officer's information.
- Note: The resources section is hidden when viewing another loan officer's profile.
LOANS TAB
Viewing Applications and Loans
Navigate to the Loans tab to view two tables: Applications and Loans.
Use the filter icon (top right corner) to filter the current table you're viewing.
Use the search function to search by borrower name across both applications and loans.
Three-Dot Menu Options
- Tap the three-dot menu (top right corner) to access:
- Send Pre-Qualification letter
- New loan application
Loan Application Overview Page
- Tap any loan application to open the loan application overview page.
- Loan Application(s) button:
- Loan Application: View the current in progress application started by either the borrower or the loan officer.
- Loan Members: View all members associated with the loan including loan officers, borrowers, team members, and partners. Search by name or tap any member to view their contact page. Use the three-dot menu to add or remove partners.
- Services: Access available loan services such as Credit, AUS, Verifications, and Pricing.
- Letters: Generate pre-qualification and pre-approval letters.
Activity Log: View the complete history of actions taken on the loan. Search by email or name of the user who performed the action.
- If multi-borrower support is enabled, you'll see a list of all loan applications for that borrower
Three-dot menu options: Send reminder, Add borrower pair
Loan Overview Page
- Loan Details: Tap to preview and view detailed loan information.
- Loan File: Opens the LO 1003 or borrower 1003 depending on your configuration.
- Loan Application PDF(s): View and download the loan application PDF. If multi-borrower support is enabled, select which application to view.
- Tasks:
- View tasks assigned to the borrower
- Tap "New task" to create document tasks, request documents, or send custom form requests
- Document tasks: Choose a document type and request it from the borrower. Upload files to complete incomplete tasks. View, reject, delete, or rename borrower-uploaded documents.
- eSign tasks: For incomplete eSign tasks, remind the borrower through the contacts page. For complete tasks, view the signed document (may require 2FA verification code).
- Your Tasks: View tasks assigned to you as the loan officer. Tap any task to view details and access signed documents (may require 2FA verification).
- Loan Members: View all members associated with the loan including loan officers, borrowers, team members, and partners. Search by name or tap any member to view their contact page. Use the three-dot menu to add or remove partners.
- Services: Access available loan services such as Credit, AUS, Verifications, and Pricing.
- Letters: Generate pre-qualification and pre-approval letters.
Activity Log: View the complete history of actions taken on the loan. Search by email or name of the user who performed the action.
LO 1003 Functionality
- Create, edit, save, and submit loan applications directly from the mobile app.
- Three-dot menu options:
- Switch to different borrower/co-borrower
- Message borrower (opens chat)
- Call borrower (opens phone dialer)
- Email borrower (opens email client)
- Access services
- Generate letters
- Add notes (one note at a time)
View history log
Bottom navigation bar: Use arrow buttons to navigate through the LO 1003 sections. Tap "Save" to save your progress.
Request revisions: If a borrower has submitted an application, you can request revisions through the three-dot menu.
CONTACTS TAB
Viewing and Managing Contacts
- View contacts organized into tabs: Partners, App Users, and Prospects.
- Use the search function to search across all tabs by name or email.
- Tap the plus contact icon to open the share flow and invite new contacts.
Partner Contacts
Tap any partner to view their contact page.
- Available actions:
- View "About Me" section (if provided)
- Call cell, Call office, Text, Email, or visit URL
- View Quick links and License info
- Share (opens share flow with partner pre-selected)
- Save contact to your device
Delete contact
App User Contacts
Tap any app user (borrower) to view their contact page.
- Available actions:
- Call cell, Text, Email
- Send push notification with custom message
- View loans or View loan applications associated with the borrower
- View linked Partner information
Save contact to your device
Prospect Contacts
Tap any prospect to view their contact page.
- Available actions:
- Resend invite to the prospect
- Call cell, Text, Email

CHAT TAB
Starting a New Chat
- Review and accept the disclaimer when first opening the chat tab.
Tap the "New message" icon to start a new conversation.
Search for a borrower or loan team member to add to the chat.
Tap "Start new conversation" to begin chatting.
- Note: Existing conversations will open rather than creating duplicates.
Managing Existing Chats
Tap any existing chat to open the conversation. Opening a chat marks it as read.
- Tap the info icon to access chat settings:
- View Chat members (tap a member to view their contact page on Android)
- Mute notifications to stop receiving push notifications for this chat
- Mark as unread to flag the conversation

Sending Messages and Attachments
- Type your message in the text field and tap "Send".
- If sending fails due to internet connectivity, tap "Try again" when connection is restored.
- Send attachments (if enabled):
- Add up to 10 attachments per message
- Review and remove attachments before sending
- Tap sent attachments to view, zoom, or view in full screen
Chat Notifications
- In-app notifications: Receive immediate notifications when messages arrive while using the chat tab.
- Push notifications: Receive notifications when the app is closed or you're on a different tab (average 1-2 minute delay).
- Android features:
- Multiple messages from the same chat stack into a single notification
- Respond directly from the notification center
- Tap notifications to open the specific chat channel
- Notifications automatically clear when you view the chat

Calculator
Tap "Calculator" to access the mortgage calculator tool.
Scanner
Tap "Scanner" to scan and send documents.
- Scan a document:
- Tap to open camera
- Take a photo (automatic scan processing)
- Add additional scans if needed
- Tap "Next"
- Enter document name
- Choose "Send document to": My inbox, My contacts (select recipient), or Save as draft
Tap "Send securely" to complete
- Send file: Upload documents from your device's downloads folder and send through the same process.
- View Drafts and Sent: Access previously drafted or sent documents.

Log Out: Sign out of the mobile app and return to the login screen.
SHARE FLOW
Sharing to Borrowers
- Access the share flow through various entry points (home widgets, three-dot menus, contacts tab).
If you're a team member, select the loan officer to share on behalf of (if applicable).
Select "Borrower" as the share type.
- Complete the borrower share form:
- Enter First name (required)
- Enter Last name
- Enter Phone (required for text sharing)
- Enter Email (required for email sharing)
Select a Partner (if co-branding is enabled)
- Choose sharing method:
- Share through email
- Share through text
- "Just share the link" (displays URL and QR code)
Sharing to Partners
Access the share flow through the partner widget or contacts tab.
Select "Partner" as the share type.
