Description:
This article walks through the process of a borrower signing their eNote through the nCino Mortgage platform.
Steps to resolve:
Signing an eNote can be done through the web portal or the mobile app after logging into your account. The eNote allows for you to complete your Promissory Note online at your convenience.
Web:
- In the nCino Mortgage borrower portal, click on the ‘LOAN CLOSING: eNote’ task to expand the details.
- Click "Sign Online".
- You will then be directed to SmartSafe by DocMagic. To continue, you must agree to DocMagic’s eConsent by clicking ‘I Consent’.
- You will then be presented with a list of your documents to sign in SmartSafe. Typically, you will just see one document here, the eNote, which is an electronic copy of the Promissory Note.
- Click on the pencil icon on the left to sign the eNote.
- You will then be presented with your documents to sign in a doc viewer format. Click on the ‘Sign Here’ button to select a signature and apply it to the documents.
- Once signing has been completed, you will be brought back to your document list. You must logout of your session when you are finished. If you do not logout, it can cause access issues if another person signs on the same device. Log out of SmartSafe by clicking ‘Logout’, to end the session.
Mobile:
Note: We recommend using a computer when possible. However, mobile can be used, but be aware that DocMagic has issues with Safari on iOS devices.
- Once logged into the app, click on the ‘LOAN CLOSING: eNote’ task to expand the details.
- Click the "Sign Online" button to open Smart Safe by DocuMagic.
- From this point, the steps are the same as with web. Please see steps 3 through 7 in the section above for more detailed information.
Solution:
Once you logout of SmartSafe, you have officially completed with the eNote signing process. If you need to complete the process again for another user on the loan, start the process again for that user's task at step 1.
