Description:
This article details the borrower password reset experience.
Note: Always make sure to check your spam/junk folder for password reset emails as your email provider may send them there.
The Reset Experience:
There are two main processes for resetting your password, either you are sent a reset email from your mortgage company or support, or you click the password reset button for self-service. Keep in mind that you may be required to input a verification code as part of the process. This article can help with that process. Note: you must open the link in a new browser and not in your email's built in browser, in order to make the verification process easier. Passwords must be 9 characters long and contain at least one capital letter, one lowercase letter, and a number. Ex. Password1
Sent a Password Reset Email:
- User will receive an email. Follow Reset Password link.
- You will then be taken to the prompt to change password.
- Once password is updated the user will be prompted to sign in again.
Self-Serve password reset:
- Users can reset own password following the "forgot your password" link.
- This will send the user the reset password email.
- Follow prompts to complete new password creation and be taken into account.
