Description:
A common use for resetting a disclosure package is when trying to correct an email address or an accidental decline. When resetting a Disclosure Package in nCino Mortgage, certain data will not update or reset in Encompass which can cause compliance issues. Specifically, the timeline for the loan file will not be changed or affected by Resetting the package.
Each company will have their own protocol on compliance-related issues. Only Company Admins have the necessary permissions to a reset package.
Steps to resolve:
If you are going to proceed with the reset, it can be found within the Package Tracker.
While resetting the package in nCino Mortgage will allow these changes to be made, the reset will not update the changes in the eDisclosure History tab for the package in Encompass. This may cause compliance issues for certain companies.
The user will need to decide if it is okay to proceed with the reset knowing that the information in the Disclosure Details will not update.
The below screenshot shows where the email will not update highlighted in red.
How a Borrower Declines a Package:
- From within DocuSign a borrower can decline a package as well as give their reasoning to the loan officer.
Resetting Package From nCino Mortgage Web:
- From the Package Tracker select the three dots at the top right of the screen to bring up the below menu.
-
Click "Reset Package".
-
Click "Yes" to Confirm Package Reset.
-
Refresh the page or use the "Live Reload" toggle to ensure the package was successfully reset.
Solution:
Resetting Packages can be a quick way to correct for email corrections or if a borrower declines a package unintentionally. The reset will require all users to re-sign. Currently only Company Admins have permissions to reset a package from within nCino Mortgage.
If a user does not want to reset knowing that the information will not update in the eDisclosure History tab, then they can exclude and retract the package instead. After excluding/retracting, they will need to send a new package with the updated information.
