Additional questions:
Q: A borrower opted out of data sharing with ABC Mortgage but has another active loan with XYZ Bank, do their data sharing choices carryover from one institution to another?
A: No. Since our users are unique, the opt in / opt out preferences only apply at a lender-level.
Q: nCino Mortgage is a white-labeled software product for our lenders. Why do we need to have an nCino Mortgage Privacy and Use Policy present?
A: The Privacy and Use policy is crucial within nCino Mortgage's white-labeled software, as it ensures transparency and compliance with data protection regulations, like CCPA. Even though the application is customized for individual clients, it still handles sensitive user data. This policy outlines how personal information is collected, stored, and utilized, ultimately instilling trust among users. It also establishes boundaries for data usage, safeguarding users' privacy and security. Furthermore, it provides a legal framework for resolving disputes and maintaining accountability in case of any issues. Ultimately, the Privacy and Use policy enhances the overall user experience by fostering confidence in the responsible handling of our clients’ borrowers’ data, despite the white labeling of the software.
