Description:
The Team Loan Access feature gives an Admin user the option to grant loan officers (LOs) access to additional loans outside of their personal pipeline. This guide demonstrates how to grant access and some of the functionality for the Loan Officer.
Steps to resolve:
The first thing to remember with Loan Access/Nexus Teams is that everything is done on the side of the Loan Officer that is getting access to the other Loan Officer. When troubleshooting or editing access, check the accessor, not the accessed.
Granting Access (Admin Only):
-
Navigate to the web dashboard, then click Manage Users > Users.
-
It should open as default to the Loan Officers tab, but if not select it.
- Find the Loan Officer that you are wanting to have access to another Loan Officer.
-
Click the additional options (...) menu for the LO.
-
Click Edit loan access.
- The screen that pulls up will show you all of the Loan Officers that the user currently has access to. If there are none granted yet, it will say "No additional loan access has been granted" and move the edit button to the center of the screen.
- Click either the "Edit Access" button, if they already have access, or the "Grant access to loans" button.
- Find the Loan Officer, Branch, or Region that you are wanting this Loan Officer to have access to and click the toggle switch by that option. If you are wanting them to have access to the entire company, click the company tab and grant access there. Note: Changes made here save automatically.
- Note: if you need to grant access to an LO outside of the accessor's branch/region, please have support enable 'Unrestricted company loan access'.
Viewing Access:
Web:
- Once an LO has additional loan access, they can view and assist on all loans they now have access to from their Loans page. A Loan Officer Name filter next to the search bar allows the LO to filter loans as needed.
- A loan officer name column can be added as well to make it easier to differentiate between loan officers.
- The package tracker for the Loan Officer will now also include the packages on loans under the other Loan Officer(s). Note: LOs will not be able to sign packages on behalf of other LOs.
Mobile:
- Go to the Loan tab and click the filter icon at the top of the screen.
- To change the loan officer that is showing on the page, click "Edit assignments".
- Select the Loan Officer(s) for whom you want to view the assigned loans.
- Once the Loan Officer(s) are selected, click the back button at the top and then the "x" to get back to the loan list which will now show your new selection.
Access Overview:
Start Loan for Another Loan Officer:
Team Loan Access gives users the ability to start a new loan application on behalf of any of their assigned LOs. Note this feature will not work if company does not allow LOs to create applications. Please have an Admin contact support if you do not have this feature. You can only start a new application for another Loan Officer from the web browser.
To do this:
-
From the Loans page, click New loan.
- Click the dropdown menu for 'Select a loan officer to assign the loan to'. It should default to the current user.
- Select the Loan Officer that the loan should be created under and fill in the borrower's information.
- Click create new loan. The system will then bring you to the application. Proceed as usual. When finished, the application will be under the selected Loan Officer.
Sharing Another Loan Officer's App:
Once a Loan Officer is granted access to another Loan Officer, they will then be able to share both their own app and the app for the other loan officer. From the web, choose the Loan Officer that you would like to share from the drop down menu at the top of the "Share App" page.
Mobile experience is very similar. The steps are as follows:
- From your dashboard, click "share".
- Click the drop down menu at the top of the screen.
- Select the loan officer for whom you are wanting to share the link.
- Complete the rest of the process as needed.
Summary:
At this time, there are still some ways that a loan officer's experience is different with the loans of another loan officer. These include, but are not limited to; the additional loan officer does not receive notifications for loans they are granted access to, they cannot view or edit app users or partners under the other loan officer, request tasks on the other loan officer's loans, etc.
