Error Code 500: Incorrect Value on Task Name Creation in Encompass

Description:

Client gets an error stating "Error: Code 500. An error occurred, please contact SimpleNexus Support: Mysql2::Error: Incorrect string Value: ‘\xE2\x80\xAF-v…' for column ‘name’ at row 1"

This error means that more than likely when a client is asking for a document request for a borrower in Encompass, an unsupported character is being added to the request and thus we can not send it out to a borrower to complete.

Steps to resolve:

LOS:

  1. Edit borrower task requests by first manually typing out task name instead of using copy and paste functionality
  2. If task still does not go out after this, remove any special characters like ' or - and try sending out the request again.

Solution:

Removing any special characters like ' or - in the doc request name and then try sending out the doc request again. This should then send the task out on the loan to nCino Mortgage.
