Description:
Field 16 in Encompass requires a minimum value of 1 to run AUS on a loan in nCino Mortgage. This value is automatically prefilled as 1 (though it can be updated if the property type requires a different number of units). During import, this value is cross-referenced in Encompass against the subject property address for the loan.
To ensure successful import, the property address must include the properly spelled county name in the application. You can edit this information in the LO 1003 to ensure the correct county name is passed into Encompass upon import.
What the error looks like:
When this issue occurs, you'll see an error message upon import to Encompass that indicates a mismatch or missing county information.
Steps to resolve:
Web:
- Access the loan application: If an error occurs upon import, open nCino Mortgage on the web and navigate to the affected application.
- Enter edit mode: Click the "Edit Loan Application" button to enter edit mode for the 1003 form.
-
Navigate to Property Information: Go to the "Loan & Property Information" tab, then select the "Property Information" section of the 1003.
-
Verify the county name: Locate the "County" field and confirm the county name is fully spelled out correctly based on the loan's subject property location.
- If the field is blank: Enter the full county name without the word "county" (for example, enter "Los Angeles" not "Los Angeles County").
- If the name is abbreviated: Replace the abbreviation with the full legal name of the county (for example, change "LA" to "Los Angeles").
- Save your changes: Once you've corrected the county name, save and exit the loan application in nCino Mortgage.
-
Reimport the loan: Return to Encompass, exit the mobile mailbox, refresh your loan pipeline, then re-enter the mobile mailbox and reimport the 1003.
- If the same error persists: Restart Encompass completely and try the import again.
- If the error continues after restarting: Replicate the error and capture the nCino Mortgage Debug Logs from Encompass.
- Contact support: Reach out to nCino Mortgage support using the nCino Mortgage Web Help Form and attach the Debug Logs to your ticket so the support team can further diagnose the import error.
