Description:
Loan officers and team members can now manually mark certain tasks as complete when borrowers submit required documents through alternative channels such as email, in-person drop-off, or phone calls instead of through the digital workflow. This feature provides operational flexibility for real-world scenarios while maintaining an accurate audit trail of task completion in the system.
Web:
Marking an Individual Task as Complete:
- Log into nCino Mortgage on the web.
- Navigate to the Tasks tab of the loan file.
- Locate the incomplete task you want to mark as complete.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the task.
- Select "Mark as completed" from the menu options.
- The task status will immediately update to Complete.
(Optional) View the task side panel to confirm the action was recorded in the audit trail.
Marking Multiple Tasks as Complete (Bulk Action):
- Log into nCino Mortgage on the web.
- Navigate to the Tasks tab of the loan file.
- Select the checkboxes next to multiple incomplete tasks you want to mark as complete.
- Access the bulk actions menu at the top of the task list.
- Select "Mark as complete" from the bulk actions options.
All selected tasks will immediately update to Complete status.
Supported Task Types:
You can use the "Mark as Complete" feature for the following task types:
- Document upload tasks (W2s, tax returns, ID verification, pay stubs, bank statements, etc.)
- Borrower payment tasks
- Borrower inquiry tasks
Tasks NOT Supported:
The following task types cannot be manually marked as complete using this feature, as they require formal digital signatures or authorizations:
- Disclosure tasks
- eSign tasks
- Credit authorization tasks
- eConsent tasks
- Verification tasks
- Authorization and certification tasks
Important Notes:
- Tasks must be in an incomplete state to be eligible for this action
- The "Mark as Complete" option will only appear for supported task types
- This feature is currently available on Web only; mobile support will be added in a future release
- All task completions are recorded in the system's audit trail for compliance and tracking purposes
- When you mark a task as complete, you're indicating that the required document or information was received through an alternative channel outside of the digital workflow
Solution:
After following these steps, you will have successfully marked one or more tasks as complete in the system. This allows you to maintain accurate task status when borrowers submit documents through channels other than the digital workflow, such as email or in-person delivery. The task will show as complete in your task list, and the action will be recorded in the audit trail for compliance purposes. This feature streamlines your workflow by eliminating confusion about task status and preventing duplicate work when documents are received through multiple channels.
